Context
Building a community is DIFFICULT, in the same way, producing quality tech content is HARD. Those who take on these challenges deserve a CROWN for their dedication. As I’ve reflected over the past few weeks on our invaluable Ni contributors, it’s clear that their time and expertise are significantly impacting tech careers worldwide.
Community Members
Our contributors span diverse backgrounds: varying skills, career paths, industries, and countries, making Numerica Ideas a vibrant hub of knowledge. In contemplating this diversity, a few thoughts have emerged:
- Recognizing writers whose timeless content still resonates, and ranking them among the most-read authors, is only fair.
- New contributors delivering fresh, impactful content each month deserve a spotlight if they are in the most read of that month.
- Waiting for our Numies program (Top Contributors Award) annually may not be enough, especially given our award ceremony isn’t yet fully sponsored to offer substantial perks.
Tech Writers Leaderboard
I know some authors are getting interesting opportunities with their contributions being visible to the masses, but this is not enough.
To address these considerations, I proposed a new initiative, the “Tech Writers Leaderboard”. At the end of each month, we will proudly showcase our top 5 writers on our social media pages and newsletter.
This initiative aims to consistently highlight and celebrate our contributors, ensuring that both established and emerging talents receive the recognition they deserve.
I know we have many contributors not in the spotlight, including private contributors too, those who share our content around and link to our resources. You will never be forgotten, and we are grateful for your support.
